I was present on the saddest day of my father's life. In front of the notary, he signed the document that ceded control of his company to Fiat.

A lifetime's work lost, nullified. The sense of powerlessness, anger, frustration.

This week, the image of my father came back to my memory while a very talented founder was telling from the stage of a tech conference that he was forced out of the company by his co-founder.

Courageously, he recounted the pain that experience caused him.

Being an entrepreneur means choosing a path made of suffering and pain. Anyone who says otherwise is either incompetent or a liar in bad faith.
